Tour plan
Day 1
Ankunft in Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu, Airport pick up, Drive to hotel, Welcome dinner and overnight stay in Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu.
Day 2
Kathmandu - Paro - Drive to Thimphu
Transfer to airport. Flight with the bhutanese national airline Drukair to Paro. On a clear day, flight to Bhutan provides a wonderful view of Himalayas. Upon arrival at Paro you will immediately notice the transparent purity of the air and the absence of noise. After the Immigration and customs formalities you will be welcomed by your local host and your tour guide. Drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Overnight in Hotel Pedling in Thimphu.
Day 3
Thimphu - Punakha
After breakfast we will drive to Punakha through Dochula Pass (3,150m). On clear weather, the view of the spectacular Himalayan Mountain ranges can be seen. Visit Punakha Dzong which is located on the island of the Pho - Chu (male) river and the Mochu (female) river. Later we shall hike to Chimi Lhakhang, the Divine mad man’s temple. Overnight in Hotel Meri Puensum in Punakha.

Day 4
Punakha
Festival Punakha Tshechu
After breakfast we will visit the Punakha Thsechu in the dzong. Dressed in their finest clothes and jewellery, the people come not only for religious merit but to join in joyful celebration and feasting. Watch this magical celebration unfold as we witness the dances, marvel at the elaborate masks and costumes, and immerse ourselves in the intense colour and festive atmosphere amid horns, drums, and mystical dancers. Overnight in Hotel Meri Puensum in Punakha.
Day 5
Punakha - Thimphu
Drive back to Thimphu. In Thimphu we visit the Memorial Chorten and the Painting school (Zorig Chusum) where students undergo a six-year training course in Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts and crafts. In the afternoon we drive up to the BBS tower and hike to the Wangditse monastry (2hours). Overnight in Hotel Peaceful in Thimphu.
Day 6
Thimphu - Paro
Drive back to Paro. We shall do some sightseeing in Paro town. We visit the Drugyel Dzong, Rimpung Dzong and visit a local farmhouse. If you wish you can stroll around Paro town and do some souvenir shopping. Overnight in Hotel Khangku Resort in Paro.
Day 7
Paro
Taktsang, Bhutan’s most famous monastery, and one of the most venerated pilgrimage sites in the Himalayan Kingdom. The trip is an uphill walk of about 2 and half hours. We will be walking firstly through the pine forest and as we get higher the vegetation consists mainly of Oak. Taktsang Monastery is the most famous of Bhutan’s many monasteries. Taktsang literally means – Tiger’s nest.
Day 8
Paro - Kathmandu
Transfer to airport and flight back to Kathmandu. Transfer to the Hotel. The rest of day you have at your disposal. Overnight in Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu.
Day 9
Kathmandu
Sightseeing Kathmandu (Stupa Swayambunath, Durbar Square). Welcome Dinner in the evening, overnight stay in Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu.
HOLI - Farbenfest
Holi is celebrated with great pomp and show in Nepal. Celebrations lasts for a week in which the entire country gets drenched in the coloured water. All over the streets people can be watched having fun, throwing colours and water-balloons, locally called 'lolas' on each other. We strongly recommend to wear old clothing on this Festival day.
Day 10
Kathmandu - Nagarkot
HOLI Festival
Option Mountainflight: If you wish you can book an early morning mountainflight before breakfast. After breakfast ride to Patan and we do sightseeing. We drive on to Bungmati and do some excursions in the surroundings of Bungmati and Khokana. Afterwards drive to Nagarkot. Overnight stay in Hotel Country Villa.
Day 11
Nagarkot - Kathmandu
Dont miss the sunrise in Nagarkot. After breakfast we drive to Changunarayan to do Sightseeing and drive on to Bhaktapur. In late afternoon we head back to Kathmandu. Overnight stay in Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu.
Day 12
Kathmandu
Sightseeing in Kathmandu (Pashupatinath, Boudanath). Farewell-Dinner in the evening. Overnight stay in Hotel Yak & Yeti.

Kathmandu
Today you have the day to your disposal. Transfer to airport. Have a safe journey back home. Tashi Delek!
